BROKEN PROMISES
While there are many conferences addressing autism and related topics, few focus specifically on the unique challenges and experiences of the Black autism community. Many conferences overlook the intersectionality of race and disability, resulting in a lack of culturally responsive support and resources.
LEAVING YOU ALL ALONE
Furthermore, some conferences fail to provide a platform for Black neurodivergent individuals to share their lived experiences and expertise. This omission perpetuates the marginalization of Black voices within the autism community and hinders progress towards true inclusivity and equity.

At Autism in Black®, we recognize these shortcomings and are committed to filling the gap. Our conference is designed by and for the Black autism community, centering on our needs, experiences, and aspirations. We provide a safe and supportive space where Black individuals, families, professionals, and advocates can come together to learn, share, and empower one another.
